I just want to extend a huge thank-you to all of you for reading, liking, sharing, and offering support for this project. Though I’ve been in journalism for more than 20 years, my first love has always been fiction. While reporting on everything from the bond market to Britney Spears I stuck to the facts, of course, but always tried to weave fiction techniques into my non-fiction writing. I found myself frequently frustrated when a scene didn’t live up to its potential from a storytelling standpoint (if only that laid-off worker had looked longingly into the distance, imagining his life without work at the rifle-manufacturing factory, etc).
Thank you
